Dear Actis Parents and Students,

On June 3, 2002, I accepted an offer of transfer to Earl Warren Junior High School, and will become their band director in the fall of 2002. My 13-year tenure at Actis Junior High School as the second band director in school history has come to an end.

As I look forward with great excitement to my new position, I also leave Actis with a great deal of sadness. A lot of great things happened in these 13 years, and I got to meet and work with scores of great students and parents over these years. Saying goodbye to all these parents and students is the most difficult thing of all.

In saying goodbye, this website will remain in a static state until a new webmaster can be found. No information will be forthcoming from this website until such time.

I would like to thank all the students and parents I have worked with over the years for giving me some of the greatest times and memories of my life. I would also like to thank my fellow Actis staff members, who were always consummate professionals who were a delight to work with over all these years.

I also would like to salute the Actis family. I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Rusty Actis, the school's namesake, on his campus on a few occasions early on in my Actis career. I hope that the Actis family took great pride in the program I helped to develop over these 13 years.

Thanks to all of you who made all this possible. I will miss everyone at Actis as I move on to my new position at Earl Warren, and will never forget all the great memories we had as Actis Americans.

If you would like to drop me a line, please send e-mail to my home address. It will get to me quicker this way.

Sincerely,

Bradford Pickett
