Mrs. Palla was first elected to the Board in 1994. She is a graduate of Fresno State University with a degree in Child Development. An active agri-business community leader, Mrs. Palla has served as an officer in numerous community organizations: School Parent Clubs, School Site Council, District Advisory Committees, Student Farm Day, as well as, 4-H and Future Farmers of America. Cheryl is also a proud member of the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce. The Palla family has resided in Panama-Buena Vista communities for five generations. Cheryl and her family have resided in the District for many years and both of her children, as well as her husband, Rod, have attended Panama Schools. This successful trustee works with her husband managing Rodney Palla Farms, a multi-dairy family business.
