Each school site that has 21 or more English language learners must form an English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC). This committee then elects a representative to the District English Learners Advisory Committee. The DELAC advises in the planning, implementation, and evaluation process of ELD programs and services. Parents of limited English proficient students make up the majority of the committee.
