Fog Delays
On foggy days, the Panama-Buena Vista School District may announce a two-hour bus delay. Please note that a bus delay means that all district buses run two hours later than normal. Teachers are on campus during foggy days, and classes begin as usual at 7:54 A.M.. However, if you feel that weather conditions are unsafe, then you may keep your child home until conditions improve. Students will be given the opportunity to make up any work missed during a bus delay.

Normally, a Fog Delay is declared by 6:00 A.M. and the information is disseminated to local news organizations. All TV and radio stations in Kern County broadcast current fog delay information. On foggy days tune into favorite radio and/or TV station to see if a Fog Delay has been declared. Also, our district website has a link to see if a Fog Delay has been declared.

There are many ways to easily obtain this information, so please do not call the school office to ask if there is a bus delay.
