    School Site Science Fairs

The Science Fair is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about their world through experimentation and reasoning. The process challenges students to ask questions and try to find answers. Science Fairs are first held at individual school sites, grades 4-8. Students who place first at the school site continue on to participate at the County Science Fair.

Hundreds of 4th through 12th grade students took part in Kern County's 28th annual Regional Science Fair at the Rabobank Convention Center. There were nearly 700 projects in all. The annual event is the culmination of months of hard work for students who rose through their school and district ranks for a chance to showcase their science projects and compete at the county level.

First or second place finishers may be eligible to compete in the annual California Science Fair to be held at the California Science Center in Los Angeles on (TBA).
