Single Member Trustee Areas

The Kern County Committee of School District Organization approved the Purple Map 2 during their Special Board meeting held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.  On behalf of the Panama-Buena Vista Board of Trustees and District, thank you to our parents and community for their participation and input during this process.
It is helpful if you submit written comments with your map describing how your map was drawn to meet the
required criteria. An example of this would be describing the specific neighborhoods or communities of interest
that are kept within a single district.

A variety of map-drawing tools are available:
1. Paper-only maps for those without internet access or who prefer paper. Tools needed:
  • Public Participation Kit – Paper Map w/ Total Population Counts
    - Large (11″ x 17″) (in English or Spanish)
    - Regular (8.5″ x 11″) (in English or Spanish)
  • Alternatively, submit any form of hand-drawn map that identifies street names.
2. Paper maps with a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to calculate population totals. Tools needed:
3. Dave‘s Redistricting App (DRA) allows members of the community to create and submit proposed Single Member Trustee Area Maps for P-BVUSD. On DRA, residents will need to create a user account to access a list of all their draft maps.

Once you are done with your map, please share your map and email the link to Sandie Taylor at [email protected].
