Interpreting Services

Requests are made directly to Consolidated Programs by submitting the online Interpreter Request form as directed below. Please send in requests at least 2 weeks in advance.
First, download the request form, type information into the boxes and then email the entire request to the address indicated on the form. interpreterreq@pbvusd.k12.ca.us
**Note: Email requests must be submitted using this form. Informal emails to department staff cannot be processed.

Parents that need language assistance on school-related topics can contact their child's school directly, or the District Bilingual Site Clerk (Spanish) at 397.2200 ext 6412.

Information for eligible candidates:

Requests for oral interpreters are processed through the Consolidated Programs Department. The district interviews and screens persons who are fluent in both the target language and English. Community interpreters are booked on an "as needed" basis when school sites/departments request assistance. Persons interested in being part of the community interpreter’s pool must apply through available through the district's website (standard requirements to perform duties involving students of the PBVUSD district include background check - fingerprinting - and TB test; other requirements are listed online). The application process remains open and may be reviewed by district staff throughout the year as needed.

Schools that need written translation of a document, please download the Written Translation Request Form. When you have completed the form, send the request form and the document as an attachment in an email to: mcaro@pbvusd.k12.ca.us
