Jr. High Music Events

Fall Dinner

 

Our Jr. High Music programs put on a special event called a Fall Dinner Concert where all five performing groups perform promoting the upcoming music events for the school year and raise money to support their school's music program.

 

In 2021, we will do a virtual concert due to COVID-19. If regulations permit, we will have a fundraiser event in Spring 2022.

 

Music Makers

 

The Visual and Performing Arts Dept. (VAPA) of P-BVUSD presents an annual concert featuring the top music students in the district from Chorus, Band and Orchestra. They perform on the Mechanics Bank Convention Center Stage in one enormous display of talent.

Disneyland/Knotts Berry Farm

 

In the spring, each junior high rewards their students for their hard work all year by traveling to Los Angeles and performing at Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm. The students get to show off their music abilities and enjoy a day at the theme parks.

 

Jazz is alive and well at the P-BVUSD! Each Junior High has a jazz band that practices weekly and performs for various events and concerts throughout the school year.

 

The highlight of the year is the annual Actis Jazz Festival outdoor concert held at Actis Jr. High School the last Thursday evening of the school year.
